Jonathan grew up in a small town in Iowa. Growing up he was in the Boy Scouts of America where he learned his basic outdoor skills. He spent a week at the Florida Keys Sea Base where he scuba dived. Growing up Jonathan would go out with his father squirrel hunting and fishing at the local sportsman club. He would get to go archery/shotgun hunting for whitetails with his Grandfather. Jonathan moved to Japan while in the United States Air Force where he got to experience other cultures and different outdoor environments. After Japan, he moved to Southern Arizona where he learned how to hunt in the desert and now hunts in Texas.

Kirt began hunting and fresh water fishing at a very young age. He went on his first Dove hunt when he was five. From there he moved on to Coyote hunting before going to Deer and other big game. He then moved from Texas to Alabama around the age of 10, where he got his first bow and learned to salt water fish. He would continue going to Texas every year to hunt. At the age of 14 Kirt moved to Florida where he continued big game hunting and salt water fishing. Due to the military Kirt spent 10 years hunting in Southern Arizona utilizing the Spot and Stalk method. Kirt is now in Texas and still travels to hunt.
